I'm ready for my close up

Let me first say that I'd love to post these funny pics I've found for y'all, but Blogger is having some trouble getting those to upload. Ah, well.

So in case you haven't heard, Miss M has been on the news. That's right, kids, my first taste of fame. It was a good piece, though, and I think it really pushed the melanoma/insurance awareness thing.

In case you haven't seen it, here's the link. There's an article and a video (yeah, those are my hands) and, in case you haven't heard- we're not engaged. Not sure where they got that.

As for little ol' me, I'm good. I'm dealing with the "living in limbo" thing, and I have to admit, most days I do feel lucky and happy to be who I am and where I am.

Also, especially after seeing the video of the news cast last night, I am appreicative of those around me- Bobby and my MPIP folks and my friends- who have made all of this bearable and, even in the craziest times, made the time fly.

I love you guys.

Ah, geez. Somebody get me a tissue.

That's fantastic Lori!

I feel like I've "met" you now. Your accent is so cute! I know, you're like, what accent?

I've never heard "melanoma" said so many times in a minute before!

So, now, do you have to worry about/censor your site more? Your site rules, but your blog is so, real and not trying to be p/c, you know?

I bet your web traffic has been crazy.

Ok, that ruled. Just wanted to say that! You and Bobby are too cute, I'm gonna puke now.

They probably assumed you were engaged because of the huge honkin' ring on your finger!! You are both wonderful and the video and article are awesome!

Lori, that was great!

I thought that the insurance message really did come across! How could they possibly avoid taking the Bobby/Lori love angle just a little bit? It's inevitable. I mean, staying in the hospital with you? You two are just that adorable. Someone hold my hair back.

Sarah's comment makes me laugh. I forget about your accent. For someone who seems so urban to me, you do talk like a Texan! Bobby, you too.

I went and looked at your paintings again...Are they up in a different way from how they used to be displayed? Seemed fancier. I think I looked at those when I first met you, but each one looked different now that I know you. Also, you're damned talented, hooker.

You and Bobby and that whole cancer with no insurance angle were really good, but let's face it, your dog Bear stole the show.

Hi Lori,

I had read the article about you which was good but didn't see the interview until today. It wasn't working for me previously. You did a great job getting across the message about the uninsured. You and Bobbie both did a good job. Way to go! Best wishes, Carver

Lori

I also had many problems uploading pictures to Blogger. Sometimes it worked, and sometimes not... Sometimes it gave me spurious error messages, which were incorrect. And for the last 2 weeks I could not upload any pictures at all.
I logged calls with their Help Desk, but received no assistance.
I decided to upgrade to the new Beta software, and that seems to have solved the problem.
